It is one of the main fishing villages of the island. The place is famous for its spicy street food, beautiful beaches and markets. Mauritius also offers a unique place to visit known as Chamarel which is famous for its various coloured earth surfaces, red, blue, yellow and green. It is formed due to erosion of volcanic ash.
